Per Emil kom som 10-åring till Kullen i och med att hans föräldrar flyttade från Berga Gård och övertog torpet. 1880 gifte Per Emil sig med Kristina Mathilda Karlsdotter och de övertog samtidigt torpet efter sina föräldrar. De drev sedan torpet till 1910 då de arrenderade Högsholms prästgård. 1918 drog de sig tillbaka till en nybyggd villa på Järnvägsgatan. Om sitt och faderns liv som torpare har Per Emil berättat för red. Georg Ekström (Amec) som införde det i Oskarshamns-Tidningen 1935. Per Emil var också speleman och om detta kan man läsa i Högsby-boken.

Per Emil came to the croft Kullen as a 10 year old boy as his parents moved from the farm Berga to this croft and overtook it. In 1880, Per Emil married Kristina Mathilda Karlsdotter and they overtook Kullen from his parents.
They run the croft until 1910, when they tenanted Högsholm, the vicarage. In 1918, they retired and lived in a new-built house in Järnvägsgatan.
Per Emil has described his and his father's lives to an editor called Georg Ekström (signature Amec) who published this in the Oskarshamntidningen newspaper in 1935.
Per Emil was also playing music, and there is a text about this is a book about Hösby. Both these articles can be found here at our web site as well.
